Sehore, a small district nestled away in Madhya Pradesh has some unique properties in its soil. Consistent practice of rainwater irrigation has made the soil high in potash and low in moisture, providing ideal conditions for high quality wheat to grow. Wheat grown on this land is almost 2% higher in protein compared to other varieties of wheat and does not require the use of pesticides.

Once harvested, it’s important that the purity and goodness of the wheat remains intact. As the tradition goes, we ground the wheat in our desi stone chakki so that the natural bran and wheat germ can be reatined, making the atta rich in minerals, fibers, antioxidants and essential nutrients such as Vitamin E.
